thanks. I took it out tonight for a local shop group ride. Got a few looks like 'what the hell is that'. There's a section they've deemed a sprint zone towards the end of the ride that is more or less an outright race. I wasn't going to push the bike but it was performing flawlessly I decided what the hell. Knowing I wouldn't be able to keep up with the faster riders in the group. I jumped out ahead at the beginning. I held the lead for a whole 10 seconds before the pack passed me. Even then though I did manage to keep up, something I hadn't been able to do before. Average speed was 17mph, 2 mph faster than I normally do (even on a much lighter bike)

Stock Frame with custom paint and custom Gunnar font. Nice. I like how the downtube panels flare or round out.

My first road bike that I've owned, Specialized Tarmac SL4 Sport purchased in May. The components are stock, but it's not like I need to upgrade them at this point in time. This week I did upgrade the back tyre as I have got four flats so far.

Are bike stores throwing in giant seat bags with purchases these days? Or are they convincing people that they need something that big?

How else would one carry the 25 pounds of stuff that people feel they need to ride 15 miles...tubes, pumps, CO2 inflater and 12 cartridges, wrench sets, extra jersey, sunbrella...

2010 Secteur Elite while pausing during a 50 mile trek on the West Orange Trail (a M.U.P. west of Orlando, FL.)
She's only been in my garage since January - Recently refreshed several components of the 105 drive-train (chain, cassette, chain rings, crankset, BB) and she's a dream to roll down the road atop . . . Until someone slides a new Roubaix into her garage spot, anyway!
Everybody KNOWS that red bar tape makes it go faster . . . Don't You???

I still can't figure out how someone could need to carry so much stuff with all that luggage on the bike. The extra cage? I just don't get it. I spent the entire summer putting in multiple 100 + mile days w/ a spare tube, CO2 cartridge and inflator, patches & glue, 1 tire lever & a small multi-tool in a small saddle bag (mini-pump in the jersey pocket) and other than 2 flats never had an issue.
Oh, the bar tape looks ridiculous.

This baby has been kicking for about 2 years, but I thought I'd show her off with the new Tour de France inspired duct tape!
2014 Allez Comp with 105 and Bontrager Race X Lite wheelset. Look pedals on there now, but pictured with Powergrips, which are pretty sweet.
