Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Im still confused how a time trial frame is better then a road frame.....arent those bikes made to be uncomfortable and all?
If you like your seat further forward, a time trial bikes will fit better. Anyways, a bike doesn't need to be comfortable, it just needs to be comfortable enough. It's not like road bikes are designed to be comfortable. If comfort was the deciding factor for picking a bike, you should be laughing at everybody who doesn't have a recumbent.

I'm also under the impression that time trial bikes are more aerodynamic than road bikes.

Here is my 2011 Giant Defy Advanced with Ultegra SL components. So far so good on the performance and handling of this bike. I love it.

Lol!!! no worries about the sig inquiry. I am a Type ll diabetic and had the outer 2 toes of my left foot amputated, leaving me with 8. As with many things in my life, I chose to deal with it with humour rather than self-pity. As for the bike, I loved the test ride but, of course as is typical here in Canada....3 inches of now today. I am not sure when I will b able to get out on the roads here. It is still winter afterall. I was in the same dilemna as you and I am very happy with my decision.

Cheers,

Brian J.

I rather enjoyed it. There were some serious deals on 2010 stuff.....some bikes being almost $1000 off. All 2011s were 10% off from the shop where I purchased mine with lifetime maintenance and fit adjustments...one shop had 1/2 price wireless computers, so if you looked, there were some really good deals to be had.

Cheers,

Brian J.
