Yeah, it's nice. Kinda flat where I live, but I could always drive a bit to get to the mountains...

After my too big for me borrowed bike took on a car and lost, I just purchased my first bike. Who knew purchasing a bike and bringing home a newly purchased bike could literally have days between them?
It's a Trek Lexi --- definitely nothing on the scale many of you have but I'm happy. It's the first bike that I purchase for myself that was correctly sized for me (I'm kinda pint sized) and that literally wasn't a $200 bike. I know, many of you have chains or wheels that cost more than my entire bike.
I'm a first time user of the clipless pedals so when I finally got the bike I had to get some time on the trainer practicing clipping in and out. Who knew the box for the shoes should have a skull and cross bones on it with a warning about how much you can hurt yourself. Last night was my first time getting the bike on the road though.
More practicing clipping in and out without falling so no significant riding but I did take a few spins around the block. I love this bike. Riding it is sublime -- smooth gear shifting, easier more efficient pedaling, nice ride, everything where I can actually reach them. Pretty kewl!

Got tired of the 1987 Schwinn Traveler (it was a beater when I bought it for $40) that I rode all over the Florida State campus, and after reading every post I could get my hands on to figure out what I wanted and watching for deals, this is what my completed project finally ended at...for now, anyway:
2006 Fuji Roubaix RC
Groupset is all SRAM Rival except brifters, which are SRAM Force
3T Ergosum Pro handlbars
3T Dorico Team seatpost
Fizik Arione saddle
FSA stem and Cane Creek headset came with the bike frameset when I bought it (FSA OS140; unknown on the headset)
(Cheap) Vuelta Zerolite wheels
LOOK Keo Max 2 pedals
Elite Custom Race bottle cages (no bolts for cages when I took the picture)
Yokozuna Reaction Cable Set
It took a while to find everything, and still I'm not completely happy with it, but at last its finally on the road

I dream of hanging my record 10spd on a pre trek quantim pro. The rev-x wheels were a nice touch. I have a set o those and some spinachis begging for a lugged carbon frame.

This Klein has pearlescent yellow paint so looks pretty awesome. I don't see many of this colour, so I don't know if it is a special colour or just a not so popular option. I took the photos on my iPhone and ran them through an app called dynamic light to rescue the lighting, as the originals had overly flooded backgrounds because it is too bright. But that is how the paint looks. It looks really awesome on sunny days, I always get complements on it from other roadies. I think they are surprised because most people in Tokyo are on new carbon bikes.
I love this frame though, it's a 57cm with full Dura-Ace 9700. I just bought this set of Rev X off ebay. They are in brand new condition, and came with wheel bags, and all the original documentation. I have always wanted the last edition of the Rev X and I think they suit this bike perfectly.
I have changed the bar tape to black so it is fully black and yellow now. But I haven't had time in the daylight to take a good photo. Here is a night time photo, but the iPhone camera makes a lot of noise in low light.
I really love this frame, it is really light and really stiff. The skill and work that went into building it by Gary Klein means that even though it is 15 years old, it rides like a new modern race bike. So it is a crime to have one and not put new components on it.
I really love the look of this Orange Quantum Pro someone else built up, it's only 5780g too! I haven't weighed my bike yet, but I know the Rev X clinchers aren't as light weight as new wheels, but I really like the style and they ride great. But I think it's around 7.5-8kg.
The only thing I want to change on mine now is convert the it to take a standard 1.1/8th stem and then get a nice set of new compact ergo bars. I am thinking 3T Ergosum. I notice that the current bars (ITM Snyper) flex when I sprint and have too much reach and too much drop for me.

I don't have the money to blow to build mine up like that orange one. I bought mine off a friends for a good price. It came with the full 9700 group on it and Aksium wheelset, which I switched out for the Rev X.
The fibrelight chainrings do look amazing, I worry about how well they shift.
I hope to spark the Klein flame in other people though and hopefully see more people pickup these frames off eBay and build them up to reclaim their glory.

After many upgrades and tweaking this little 1000sl pedals like a dream. Went from 8-speed Triple Sora to a mix of Ultegra, 105 and FSA Double compact. All that's left are a pair of Soul 3.0's with prodigy hubs and I think its going to be like riding a cloud.
