Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like the blue panels on the Parlee and the autumn picture is great. Wish my Kestrel had a splash of color like that.

Also like the Paketa. exotic.

Just took the plunge on a new frame. Do I have to wait until it is a complete bike to post here, or is it alright to post just the frame?

Dude, those are the red version on the blue Rolf Vector Comps, I have on my Trek. I've never seen them in red. They are heavy has hell, like 2000g, but they are damn strong. I've been beating on mine for years. If TSURU flakes, I need a set for my new frame to train on....

I'll think about it. I was planning a bike build and use them. If I do sell, I'll let you know.

Yeah these wheels are getting rarer as the ones that I have seen are in bad shape. Mine has over 1300 miles and I have replaced 4 blades on the rears. Heavy - YES, but sweet looking! And they are great trainers!

I'd be willing to give a few bucks for them. It would be cool to have a matching set for these.

I like the wheels they are strong, and roll great, stay true, just heavy. Let me know if you decide to sell.

Oh I will. I plan to put a lighter for on it, Sram Red, and some uber light wheels and making it a climbing bike. The Cervelo is going to be the more of the everyday bike. I do want to limit the miles I put on the Trek though. It is starting to show it's age.

I thought I saw you today. Chased down a guy who had this EXACT bike (maybe different wheels, can't remember). I asked him if he was on the boards because of the bike, he said no, but he coulda been lying, who knows.

But yeah, saw this gem in action.... nice bike in person!

Nope wasn't me. I've been at work all day, and the bike is hanging up in the back of the shop. I wish I was ridding, but I have more importantly I need the money to build the Cervelo I just bought.

That's cool. I saw two of the older 2000 model year USPS 5200 during Pelotonia at the lunch stop in Amanda. I didn't see any of the 2001 models though. Actually I've never seen another 2001 ever in person. Pretty cool!
