Weight Weenies: Recommend a Scale

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Weight Weenies: Recommend a Scale

Hey - I'm looking for a scale, not primarily for bike parts, but I figured you guys would have more experience than anyone else.

Basically, I think I'm looking for a postage scale - would like to measure up to ~20 lbs, would like to have accuracy around 1 gram, and it needs to be the flat-top type of scale (no hooks).

Any recommendations?

I have no idea on inexpensive home scale. I just take my bike crap to work and use the balances in the chemistry instrument room.

As do I. This isn't for bike stuff, though, and it's a pain to bring all the stuff in and out.

This guy has a lot of scales for sale, and they seem to sell for just the inflated shipping cost + $1.00 or so. Seems awfully cheap. But he's got very good feedback, and lot's of it.

https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZhaddaways2QQhtZ-1

I bought the 50 lb one with 2/10 oz (10 gram) increments, and will let you know if I got a "deal" or got scammed.
