Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

An Arione Believer

Well it happened today. After trying Selle Italia SLR (chafing inside of my legs), and the Fizik Aliante Carbon (too mushy), I have finally found solace in the Arione. This thing felt great as soon as I hopped on it, and still felt great 2.5 hours later. Power transfer is top notch and I was surprised at how comfortable it was while in the drops as well. When I first built my new bike, I didn't want to get one just because everyone had one (I know I know...). But I can see why now. Props to Fizik for making a great product.

I agreed until I did a century on the bugger. Seems a common complaint.

+1 I love mine but my butt can't take more than 4 hours on one. Just put a Toupe Team on last night maiden voyage tomorrow.

I put almost 400 miles on mine last week. I took to this saddle quicker than any others I've used in the past.

There seems to be a battle between the Arione and Toupe. Haven't tried the Toupe and I'm still on the Arione side, but time will tell...
