Condor Fratello (steel)...pic
Hey all,
Just thought I'd share my new purchase with everyone.
Frame is a Condor Fratello (55cm) from Condor cycles of London.
Rest of the stuff is off my 2nd bike except for the wheels. I went with record hubs, dt swiss db spokes and open pro rims. It's going to be my winter/training bike so I wanted minimal maintenance but good performance.
All was loving built by Paul Hewitt cycles, once again with superb attention to detail. It's a bit retro for me but I'm really excited about it. First ride is tomorrow!
Sorry that the photo is a little over exposed but I'll post more tomorrow with ride report if anyone is interested.
Cheers.

Sweet ride! I became aware of Condor thru the Rapha adverts. Contrary to OCP bike picture posting guidelines, I really like the alignment of your cranks with the seat post. With this alignment, I sense an element of danger - yes, even intentional recklessness. A bold dispalay, even by bikeforums standards.
Seriously - a really nice bike. Updates please.

Thanks fellas.
Seatpost is a Specialized Pave sl.
The rest of the stuff is a mishmash of cheapo bits but I've no doubt I'll be upgrading, I just cant help myself. Thats why I went a little extra on the wheels.

Well, I'm well and truly a steel convert now!
It's only after riding this that I realise what people mean by a steel "ride". I have a Bottecchia 8avio, it's a carbon monocoque and I love it. It's light, stiff, responsive and comfortable, but, compared to my condor it feels, dead?
I'm so impressed that I might just go for the condor acciaio as my next frame and build it superlight.
I'll try to get more pictures.
