Generic carbon fibre monocoque frames

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A frame that wholesales for $50 is exactly that: a $50 frame.
In my day, they called them Swedish pedal crafts, and the cost 55 cents for two... and you ZZZZZZZZzzzzzz.

Maybe one day there will be a war among the frame manufacturers with a monopoly as the result. Just like on Demolition Man where all restaurants are Taco Bell.

Nothing new about this in italian bikes, even with steel frames, there were only really 2-3 manufacturers in the whole country.
What you say about steel frames in the old days is simply far from the truth. It isn't even true today; there are plenty of shops still making frames in Italy. Most are small and aren't distributed in the US. That doesn't mean there isn't a lot of outsourcing being done by Italian brands.....

I've seen that frame elsewhere too. It looks a lot like the new Torpado Celeste, among others.

so, how many of you have exact details on which bike manufacturers do what? How many of you have actually been in the factories? Some of you may be right and some of you may be off base....I just love the pontificating as if you have actually been on the premises...

Isn't Diamondback part of Raleigh? Would that give the Podium a bit more credibility? Just curious.
