guerciotti, circa late 90's, tell me more?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

guerciotti, circa late 90's, tell me more?

so i just got my first higher end road bike after riding around on an low-end 70's peugeot and prior to that, a 70's era schwinn varsity. keeping the peugeot, it's banged up enough that it wouldn't tempt a thief so much.

on to the guerciotti...

i'm no expert so i'd love some thoughts/opinions. how much do you think it's worth?

estimated to be from 1998...here's a list of everything that came on it that i know to list...

columbus frame...says "cromor"

campy profile mirage headset

campy mirage derailleur

campy front & rear breaks

campy veloce cranks

campy look style pedals

selle san marco seat post & saddle

"FiR" rims

continental grand prix 3000 front tire & continental supersport rear tire

avenir cyclocomputer

okay! well, it's fun to ride. btw, i've been lurking here for a bit. this is my first post. hello from brooklyn, ny.

Besides the marque, worth depends a lot on condition of things like wear on the brakepads, cogs, chain; are the bearings smooth and repacked, if new cables, tires, etc. Quit worrying about that and enjoy riding it. Sounds like a nice bike.

And since the mod missed his opportunity, welcome to BF.
