Anybody riding 24hrs of Booty?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's been so long since I've seen booty I can't imagine lasting for 10 minutes, much less 24 hours.

it was a great event, except for the rain about an hour after the start. i think deluge is appropriate. some tents blew over from the wind or collapsed from the insane amount of rain. a lot of campers bugged out for the night, but came back the next morning. congratulations to the staff and volunteers for a great event and for raising 1/2 a million in funds in lieu of the the monsoon! i had a great time and rode to a personal best mileage along with my two partners in crime. i will most likely go again next year. congrats to all the others that saw the rain through and rode all night! i still have to catch up sleep... yawn..

I don't think I have the stamina for 24 hours of booty.

Do some research about the event before you post something stupid...

www.24hoursofbooty.com

They raised $500k for cancer research. Spence Lueders is a good friend of mine and a hell of guy.

Why is the loop called "The Booty Loop?" Is the loop named after the ride, or is the ride named after the loop? Regardless of the worthiness of the cause, the name is going to attract jokes.

Where did the name come from...

Where did the name come from... Well considering that the loop travels around Queens College and then through one of Charlottes nicest (Most expensive) neighborhoods. You see lots of Female booty. Yes thats not "pc" to say. But it's so true. You have alot to watch and the ladies know you are and seem to enjoy the attention. While the are walking the same loop and at their pace you pass them many times before they get home. Great loop to ride...

I have had the opportunity to ride the booty loop for an hour or so and I must say it most certainly lives up to it's name!

Heading down for the 24 Hours of Booty tomorrow AM; first year doing the event, and I hope the weather is better than what it sounds like happened last year. Didn't see a thread on the ride for 2008, so I thought I'd bump this one. Any one else in BF land going to be there?
