Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Get the Aksium's. You are no light weight and the 6600 wheels have minimum spokes - not the best unless you are looking for race wheels.

I am 230lbs and just picked up a set of Mavic cxp 33's with shimano 6600 hubs. I am very pleased so far. They are a touch heavier than the alx 330's that came with the bike but they seem to role better and they are definately stronger. When I would get up out of my seat for hills I could feel and hear the 330's flex. The cxp's don't mind the stress at all. They are minorly heavier that the open pros but more areo and a few dollars cheaper.
