Another Monday Morning........
How are you guys doing? I'm at work trying to pass the time. This Florida heat has got me tired. I'm headed to Atlanta next week to run Peachtree, so this week will drag that much more. Anyone do anything exciting this weekend?

I had an inbelievable weekend, cycling wise and everything else :) felt gooood and strong!
but yep, it's Monday, back to work and I got up with a cold :( grrrrr Rode all year around in nasty NE weather and never got sick and no Im sick in 80 degree weather, go figure:rolleyes: |
Yes, I had a great weekend!! I bought a new bike!!! I'm fairly new to cycling and I just bought a Giant OCR-2. My previous bike was a Trek 7100 hybrid. WOW, what a difference!!!

Yes.
I climbed a 20%-er three times while doing laps with monster hills. I went through "S" turns going 35+ mph. I kept the rubber side down. I'm eating a banana now before I have to go on a recovery ride to loosen up my beaten-up legs. |
Monday is Sunday for me, so...Test riding a wheel that I glued two days ago. A crash replacement from zipp. Not worried about it rolling, just being lumpy. I'd don't have the touch getting the valve set I guess.

Had to work Saturday but actually had Sunday off for the first time in a long time. Showed up for the Sunday morning group ride and....no group! So I motored off on a beautiful day through the very scenic rolling hills of Texas by myself. Got lost...strike that. Pilots never get lost. I had a temporary loss of situational awareness in regard to my surroundings. Sounds better. Waded through three water crossings discovering that the holes in the bottom of road shoes not only improve air flow for cooling but allow for good water drainage. Re-caged the bearing gyro, regained lateral orientation, and happily finished the ride.

Hate to disagree, but IMHO, most pilots are very lost these days. BOHICA! |
