Bad Bottom Bracket Bearings?

My ride today seemed alittle bit harder than usual and at first I thought it was me, but then started to suspect the bike. On climbs I noticed that there was creaking coming from the bottom bracket and now that i'm home I can tell the bearings are noisey. I've never bothered listening to them before, but I'm guessing they should be silent? The bike only has 700-800 miles on it so I'm kinda reluctant to say the bearings are shot, but evidence says otherwise. And I'll also mention it's a 105 bottom bracket on an aluminum caad8 frame.

Bad bearings? Or is it normal and I was just having an off day?

If you have the proper tools handy, you could pull the crank and BB, clean everything well, grease liberally, and reassemble. Might help, and its fun.

A vice grips and an adjustable wrench? Oh wait, proper tools...yeah...

At some point I'm gonna have to get tools for my bike.
