Please Reccomend a Pair of bibs for me

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Please Reccomend a Pair of bibs for me

I just bought my new saddle (Alias) and so far love it, im one step closer to being able to do a century without my butt hurting as bad, but now i really need to get a new pair of bibs.

right now im using a pair of Canari Shorts that i bought at MC sports before i found this sight and realized thats was not very smart

I'm 5'8" and have a 34" waist and really want to get a pair off of www.performancebike.com because i have a gift card there. so if any one could recommend a nice pair of bibs for under 120 (preferably under 100) i would be really grateful

Performance Century Gel Bibs are great as well. I have 2 pairs and at $45 they are a steal.
Just make sure you wash them first before your first ride to soften the chamois.

Most good bike shops will let you try on clothes before buying. Try on a few different brands and see what fits you best. You want the bibs to fit you around the waist, around the butt, and around the bib straps. If any area is too loose or too tight compared to the others, then try another brand. Some brands are intentionally designed for fatter people than others (e.g., Canari vs. Santini) so it is possible than no sizes from a particular brand will fit you properly.

I just got a pair of the Sugoi Evolution bibs. Currently on sale.

I wore them both days this weekend, and so far so good. A huge improvement over the PI bibs I have. FYI, I am 5'8" and have a 32" waist. I got medium, which fits well.

I've had bad luck with Performance shorts sizing, and gave up after sending two pairs back. Aerotech makes some very good quality bibs at a low price - $60.

Exte Ondo bibs with their Golden chamois are amazing, but hold water. 2XU aero elite bibs (I think thats what they are called) are reasonably comfortable, and great in the wet (hold no water, dry really quickly). Craft pro bibs (with the EIT pro F7 chamois) are very comfortable (if they fit you properly) and reasonable in the wet. I like the Craft bibs the best, but if you weren't racing, I'd go for the Exte Ondo Cromatic (or above).

giordana silverline if you're one a tight budget, giordana tenax if you feel like spending a bit more. they use the same chamios, so you can get by on the silverlines, but the tenax feel better...

i've heard the voler makes the "best bang for the buck" bibs, but i've never tried them myself, give those a try if you're on a really tight budget...

Giordana Tenax bibs are great, a very good quality one peice chamois. Sizing is a bit slim as they are Italian.
