road bike - what to get
So it happend that I am "in between" road bikes at the moment and ride around on either my time-trial bike (will be getting rid of it some time soon, have not done a single time trial since I moved over here from Europe) or my track bike. Finally, I am ready for a new road bike but I have fallen behind on what's hot and what's not.
So far, the budget is around USD3000, might expand or shrink a bit (i.e. +/-USD500) as I explore the opportunities. I am 5'10" and weigh 145lbs (hope the conversion is right - 179cm and 63kg), so I don't really need a custom frame (ride a 52cm track bike, probably will go for the same size).
What can I get for that much today? I want something that climbs well and is comfortable for longer rides. Given the pricetag and the requirements, what are the prebult options for me? Should I buy a frameset and build it up? I don't really have the time, so the price of a buldup would have to factor in the mechanic fees. Any other ideas from the BS's collective are welcome.

There are a ton of nice bikes in that price range.
Depending on what type of riding you'll be doing I'd look at bikes by
Scott
Bianchi
Pinarello
Look
Cervelo
There are a ton more but that will get you started

Bianchi 928

theres also the specialized roubaix which has a more relaxed geometry in comparison to say the specialized tarmac (racing bike).
and the roubaix is damn sexy as well as kick ass.

I am going to buy from a local shop. This way I can test ride it and I can be sure to get service when I need it.
So far I am leaning toward this: https://www.sbrshop.com/store/product.php?pyid=cb-0037. Is this a good price? What comparible bikes are out there?

I think you can get the old Trek Madone Ultegra also for that price these days and a Bianchi 928 Centaur.
