CAAD9 "clear" frame color

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

CAAD9 "clear" frame color

LBS ordered my CAAD9 frame.....color is "clear", which is basically Raw Aluminum w black....

Has anybody seen this frame color in person and comments? Sounds like a color combo that shouldn't show up scratches, etc easily.. I like to have something abit different.

I have that color frame, it's very nice looking, there are a few scratches that show from chain slap, that's about it.

It's a cool color, the same as my Fuji SL. I get compliments on it all the time.

I rode with a lady on Monday that had one and did not realize what it was. I don't know that I cared for it. I was wondering why the top tube/ down tube joint and head tube looked unfinished. I knew the CAAD 9 was new so it made me wonder. I did not say anything and did not look at the bike too closely because I did not know her. If I see it again I will take a closer look.

It's not raw aluminum, it's clear coated.

I'm not naked, I'm in the band, and our school colors are 'clear'.

Best finish for a Cdale.

How much is a new CAAD 9 frame or CAAD 8 frame? I'm in the market for a new 56 cm frame and would like to get a CAAD 8 or 9.

If all you want is the frame, you're better off buying a complete 105 bike and selling off the parts.

Or ebay.

They do, but you're going to be paying about a grand for a frame/fork combo.
