I joined a local racing club

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Congrats. You'll learn a lot, and before you know it, you'll be teaching new riders. Make sure to ask lots of questions, and learn how the fast guys train (the really fast guys).

On training rides no driver will be able to claim they didn't see you.

Yeah well I like to be seen. We also do alot of riding around here in dense redwood forests so its good to be bright to make sure you are visable.

I may punish myself on the Diable Hill Climb. Other then that I dont have anything planned yet. Although I can race the club sponsored race for free if I volunteer to work, which I will. Only problem is thats the day after the Mt Tam century.
