Even a roadie can enjoy a ride on the beach...

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thought this picture of my beach bike turned out all perfesshunul lookin'. I took it this weekend on St. Simons Island, GA.

(Roadie content: Bike pictured is a Huffy Stratomaster 215; full Acme Steel tubing; fenders chromed. mixed Fulda, ShunYeng, and Huffy gruppo. Kenda 26x2.125 whitewall tires. Yes, I need to flip the stem. Also, it is my beater beach bike; I usually ride my Electra Townie, but it is not nearly as photogenic as the Huffy.)

OMG...I had that Super Competition (UO10??) (***Edit - PXN-10???) ...

Mine was Pearl Green with Orange lettering...

It was my first race bike back in the '80's (Do you know what year exactly)...

When my parents moved in 2000 - 2001 they took it to the dump...

I am still missing that bike...

Guess I should not have left in the parent garage...

It's actually a CFX10, which was the top Peugeot frameset in '82/83. 531 Frame & Forks. That frame was sold with French components as the PXN10 in 82 and 83, and also with Campy in 83 only. I built mine in 83 with all Campy Nuovo Record. Owned it since new.

Great location. I just finished up a large retirement center on St Simon's Island last year called Marsh's Edge. Beautiful area on the islands there.
