Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

Do they even have cyclocomputers? I'm thinking the thing on their handlebars is strictly a Heart Rate Monitor. I doubt they need to know cadence/speed/miles/time or even power during a race, right?

I've seen Garmin, SRM, Sigma, Cateye, Polar on the bikes... check out cycling news' pics on the pro tour bikes:

https://www.cyclingnews.com/tech/2007/probikes/

I don't know for sure, but my guess is that they mainly use them for distance, so they know when to expect what (ie. there's a 2k climb at 8% at the 86k mark in the stage.. kinda thing)

More and more are using power meters. As the bike weights get lower, it's easy to add power meters and still stay at the minimum weight. Most times the info is of greatest use to the team manager.
