bananas and food on the go

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

bananas and food on the go

I find bananas as a great easily digested food to eat while riding my bicycle.Just watch out for those peels
I would be interested it hearing about riders different food and drink while on the road(Not sports specific like lucuzade gatorade gels powerbars ect)Im refering to more home brew or common pantry items.I not a hippie but do like to try and eat natural food if I can.

Following a suggestion of Oboeguy's, I slice a bagel in half, then into quarters: miniature sandwiches. I spread on Nutella.

chocolate covered raisins ( if its not too hot then just raisins, or sultanas), bananas, Malt loaf, jelly babies.
Breakfast bars ( the ones half covered in yoghurt ).
Mashed bananas and sultanas on a barm cake ( bread roll) with some honey (no butter) makes a great sandwich. ........I like the idea of cutting them into quarters.
