That crankset is pure Bad Azz.

I can't wait for people to start buying the SRAM stuff and giving us reviews of it.

asmallsol 07-28-07 07:41 PM

That crankset looks bad as$

GNB 07-28-07 07:43 PM

Looks cool....but not very red. :-)

Entropy906 07-28-07 08:13 PM

I was hoping to see the cassette. I thought I saw the guys show it on Versus and it was one piece.

I guess I wasn't confused after all. http://www.rouesartisanales.com/article-6901359.html

I'm in to it. It's probably $50 cheaper than record.

operator 07-28-07 11:19 PM

What a gyp. I thought it was actually going to be red.

mr handy 07-28-07 11:34 PM

I'm liking it. They should have all the kinks worked out really well by the time im ready to build up a new bike.

One piece of machined steel. The $ comes from the fabrication, not the material.

marqueemoon 07-29-07 12:19 AM

I'm digging it.

Kyle385 07-29-07 01:30 AM

Hopefully competition brings down prices across the board. :)

elgalad 07-29-07 02:13 AM

Is it just me, or are there about 4 teeth missing from the smallest cog on that cassette?

I thought they were only supposed to be one short on each cog.

jimples 07-29-07 02:16 AM

Hot.

Stray Cat 07-29-07 01:57 PM

Yummy. Can't wait till October. We'll see how long it takes to get in our hands. Wonder how much.

patentcad 07-29-07 02:09 PM

Once again, you force me to make yet another pilgrimage to the Our Lady of Dura Achee Chapel in Madone, Italy to light candles and pray for your immortal souls. Sram on your bicycles instead of Dura Ace? How about strippers in the Sistine Chapel? You pathetic, gear-obssessed, misguided, twisted, OCP friggin WEENIES.

GuitarWizard 07-29-07 02:16 PM

SRAM>Shimano

8 GEARS

CdCf 07-29-07 02:23 PM

Wouldn't it have been cool to have it red anodised? Doesn't work with steel, of course, but all the alu and ti bits... :)

ElJamoquio 07-29-07 02:45 PM

8 Gears = the first and last are separate pieces.

Red = stinkypants.

kenny! 07-29-07 02:48 PM

Red fades and turns pink.

There are SRAM and Campy sections in hell for bike weenies.

What's the mechanical advantage of a one-piece cassette? That's a project to make a machinist go home and emo cut himself, hope there's a good reason for it.
