Don't ya love it when bike stuff unexpectedly shows up at the door?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I completely forgot I placed an order with Nashbar a couple weeks ago. The mailman just dropped off a box with a new set of cranks, sunglasses, a base layer jersey, etc, etc. It's like Xmas in August.

Must be nice having wheels show up throughout the year.

He knows a guy at Zipp, and, like cyclinder blocks on cars, there are tolerances, and if a disc wheel is .005mm out of true past the tolerance, Zipp used to grind them up and write off the cost of materials. Well, my coach talked them into giving him the wheels, and now Zipp writes off the sales price of the wheels.
Win-win situation.

I used to work for a company named "HK Systems" - stood for "Harnischfeger-Kenway". There's a German firearms company also known as "HK", standing for "Heckler & Koch". One day, at one of our project sites, we received a crate intended for the OTHER HK. When we opened it, we found a crate full of submachineguns!

After fighting off some tempting thoughts, we called the local police department to come and take posession of them.

Not going to do much with a bunch of 9mm's. Better to get a tactical nuke.

Nashbar can be a little slow when it comes to shipping, which is actually a good thing in this case since I really didn't need any of this stuff right away.

Yeah, well I was well aware of the fact that I ordered a garmin edge 305 and the mail man showed up with it while I was away and left a note. I went down to the post office to pick it up and it's not there :'(

I've been looking for white sunglasses too but settled on some gray ones. It's hard to find a good pair of white sunglasses that aren't ridiculously priced.

I am in the same boat, and if it has a tracking number, I am constantly checking to see how much closer the package is to my house.

That is one of the saddest stories I've ever heard. What an absolute shame.

A few orders ago, I received my Performance package and had an extra Craft Jersey .. they gave me two instead of one. Not a bad deal!
