Why is Routeslip so slow?

Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Sometimes it locks up too. Am I the only who has problems with it or have you experienced it too? Is there a solution?

Good question! Thanks for asking because you're definitely not the only one... Anyone know?

I just started using Routeslip and have been underwhelmed. How's Mapmyride in comparison of features ?

I use mapmyride.com and as far as free interactives go, it definitely does the job.

It's a free site and as such on a slow server.

Meh, MapMyRide is pretty underwhelming, too. Chalk it up to You Get What You Pay For.

i switch around between bikely.com, mapmyride.com and routeslip.com. Each has something that I like. I've not found routeslip to be particularly slow... actually, I've found that it's faster in terms of drawing than either of the other two i use. One problem I had once is that I tried to save a 50+ mile route with probably 3000+ points and it locked up when trying to save; this might have happened on any site, and I'm not inclined to try it again. routeslip probably does cue sheets better than any other site out there.

'underwhelmed', 'underwhelming'? Did you expect a porn site?

Nope, just rides that would take less than 5 hrs to plot. I can do the damn ride faster than that.
