Pedal shoe combos....wanting to buy
I've decided while I save for a bike I could start getting the other goodies I need/want. I thought it would be a good idea to get some clipless and shoes to put on my current/old bike and get used to them. Also pick up a helmet and some clothing. Anyway, I'd like to get a MTB type shoe (recessed cleat) since if I do stop somewhere I'd rather not be trying to walk on cleats themselves. Question.....I like the idea of the speedplay pedals with the float. I kinda worry about my knees. How would I know which shoes/cleat combinations are compatible with these pedals? I'm not ready to drop 230.00 on Sidis yet either, at least I don't think so...lol.

Do a search. Specialized carbon comps are clearing out for about $70-80, and Sidi Zetas are going for about $150 on 2007 models, if you can find them.
Edit: You wont be getting recessed cleats with speedplays unless you go with the frogs.
