Chocolate Powerbars?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Chocolate Powerbars?

I get the 24-pack of Powerbars from Costco which comes with Vanilla Crisp (love it), Peanut Butter (love it) and Chocolate (would eat it if the fridge was literally empty). I'm sure some of you out there in internetland probaby love chocolate flavored Powerbars, and I'm wondering if there's any way to swap out approx 20 of the chocolates for some other flavor(s).

Logistically, I'm really not sure if there's any "safe" way to do that without fear of getting scammed, but anybody have any interest in trading some flavors you have for some chocolate flavored ones?

I'm too cheap and stubborn to throw them in the gargage and WILL ultimately end up eating them, but certainly not without an unhealthy grimmace on my face. Anybody care to save me from this terrible fate?

Hell, that's all I WILL eat from the Powerbar line. I was member of a team with an early sponsorship from Powerbar (back when you dealt with Brian and Jennifer directly), and the Chocolate and Malt Nut were IT. Chocolate Powerbars and Bodyfuel will get you through a flu-ridden race or two--plus make an interesting photograph when you puke crossing the line.

I still love Chocolate Powerbars for the same reasons everyone else hates them: they're nice and bland and easy to hold in a roiling stomach.

I could trade, but it'd just be chocolate for chocolate--which sounds kinda weird if you say it out of context.

Honestly I wouldn't trade dirt for those. I ate one before a foot race and it made me want to not race.

So much for wanting some sympathy/generosity, eh?

I was really hoping some chocolar Powerbar lovers would exist that would be willing to buy some different flavor and trade me . . . *sigh*

No love here, I guess.

So I've been hauling bagels and cream cheese from Costco to work for breakfast, but I could substitute those with the wretched quasi-chocolate powerbars with peanut butter (peeeeaaannuuuuttt buuuttterrrrr -- mmmmmm) and now have a semi-nutritious breakfast bar . . . I must think further on this most excellent idea. God bless you Surferbruce. God bless you.

The chocolate brownie aren't too bad but I sure do miss my old favorite malt-nut. They stopped making them almost a year ago and I haven't found any flavor I can tolerate as easily as that one. Cliff bars just don't do it for me either.

I actually like chocolate Powerbars. Unfortunately I switched to cliff bars. I like them better overall. Too bad Costco stopped caring them.

When you're on a long ride and need food, you don't care what it taste like. Just make sure it's not poison. Chocolate Powerbar's alright in my book.

chocolate and peanut butter really is a god like combination. another fave of mine is the old PB and J sandwich with chocolate chips added.

I literally just went:

I love PB&J. I'm a woman--I love chocolate. But the two together? I can't see putting chocolate chips on a PB&J sandwich.

Can anybody say REECES PEANUT BUTTER CUPS?? If they were an illegal narcotic, I'd be doing hard time in the state penn right now.

Sweet mother of Moses, I must try this tonight. In the absence of chocolate chips, I imagine some Hershey's chocolate syrup would be a decent stand-in.

For the record, I'm pulling out a chocolate Powerbar right now and brought in a half-finished container of peanut butter. Hopefully this is as good as you say. Otherwise, you're dead to me.

It's official: my request for a flavor swap with the chocolate Powerbars is retracted.

Peanut butter spread liberally over the top of a chocolate Powerbar makes it more than just palatable. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's an orgasmic experience, but I almost want to rip open a second one now. I just might do that, too.

Now if I can just convince my wife to stop buying the wretched creamy peanut butter and buy it chunky instead - how God intended it to be when consumed.

Surferbruce, your stock has just gone up 10-fold in my book.

OK now you've got me going. I am a freak for reeses anything, but the most crack-like food stuff on the planet is Reeses Peanut Butter Puffs cereal. I cannot stop eating it till the box is gone. My wife will not but it for me, so it's usually reserved for when she's away and i play bachelor.
it is the best cereal EVER! really it must have some addictive additive of some sort.
do not try it. i warn you now.

Yeah, thanks for adding that disclaimer at the end. A fat lot of good that'll do at stopping me now. You've started something that I'm afraid you're now powerless to stop. I'll have to do it when the wife AND kids are out of the house for the weekend. Otherwise I may have to share with our 2 youngsters.
