If I was I'd be dead. I get stung a lot when I ride on the local MUP. Long sections have 5'+ flowering shrubbery along both sides and, when it's hot, I ride with my jersey unzipped. It sweeps up anything flying in my path and I get stung/bitten on the belly and the back. I was stung once on my last ride and twice on the ride before that. IT SUCKS.

Stands to reason -- I'll bet denim is no problem for them either. Many animals have pretty tough hides. The sting has to be able to get through to have any effect.
