Wheel Color
Well I am contemplating a new wheelset for this bike:
And I am pretty sure a custom build would be the best option as I can get exactly what I need in terms of budget, durability, and wheel weight. Now I am trying to figure what colors may look best. Yes I know it has nothing to do with how the wheels perform, but damnit, if I am going custom, they should look good.
So I am pretty sure black, red, green, and white are out, though I could be convinced if I see something that works.
What do you guys (and girls) think?

half black half white. So you get a strobing effect when the wheels spin.

any other input? Other than the strobe effect? Is this shallow and cosmetic? You betcha, but come on, they are new wheels.

I like classic silver or black.
Its timeless. Don't go for clown wheels.

I actually think white rims (Velocity Deep V) with blue nipples would look hot on that bike.

Don't feel self-conscious about being shallow and cosmetic. Welcome to the dark side, my brother.

The wheel color and the tire color can have a visual effect. If you stay with the aluminum silver looking rims, then you can match it with a Michelin Pro Race 2 tire that comes in light gray. This would add a certain depth to the rims, making it seem deeper.
If you just want a contrast, then stay with a black tire. If you add too many colors, it will look like a circus act.
Looking at the frame, its color is very clean with just a slight accent of blue and gold. The frame color scheme pretty much dictates how you should go with the wheelset and tires.

You mean more like your gigantic ass logos on your bikes, wheels, stem, handlebar, handlebar tape, derailleurs, cranks, tires, cleat, shoes, jerseyes, helmets, seat, spokes, rims, seat bag, bottle cage, computer... right?

I had these built a few months ago. I absolutely love them. I think something similar would look great on your bike. These aren't the greatest pics, but it gives you an idea. White Velocity Aerohead front, White Velocity Deep V in the back. Blue Hope Pro 3 Hubs. Black spokes and blue nipples...
