Good bye summer. Damn, its getting cold again :(

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Went for my ride this morning and after five miles I turned around to get some polypro. This sucks! I want nice warm mornings all year round!

I realize this wont be happening to many of you for atleast another month. Maine sucks.

Maine is awesome. It makes you tough. It makes you manly. Don't complain, take it in stride.

The worst part is that I seem to have lost my warmer gloves in my recent move so I can still feel the cold on my knuckles as I eat my cereal

cold is not necesserily bad or restrictive for cycling, mild winters are awesome for training. I think i'm not the only person who gets exhausted of a hot-humid day's ride. Plus i'm such a heavy sweater that no hydration tactic can fully cover my H2O-electrolyte loss...Summer=suffer!
But i can understand a rider that can get stuck indoors for days and days because of rain or snow-ice.
Thank God that's very rarely the case where i live

Yeah I am at Orono. Great campus except when it gets really cold.

Edit: Ahhh, now that the day has warmed up there is some seriously fine scenery out

I'd kill for a week of 50'ish weather. Right now it's 88 at 7am.

Bare-knee, armwarmer weather is my favorite for riding. Add knee warmers and it's close. Ah, Fall is nearly here!

Rainy with a high of 70 today in Seattle. The beauty of Seattle's weather..."If you don't like it, wait 5 minutes, it's bound to change!"

The main reason I go to school in NorCal. This pic was taken a few days ago for another post, but you can see the outside. It's like this all year round. No wonder we have one of the largest cyclist populations in the country.

Here's an old one I found from the winter:
