Yeah I understand that it's tricky with two dogs. I will say that as a dog owner, I can usually tell the intentions of a dog by its bark, and most of the time they're just trying to establish dominance. But I agree it is almost impossible for someone who doesn't recognize the barks to know if that's the case, or if the dog truly thinks you've trespassed into its territory.

I'm a dog owner and I have never heard any of the dog's I have owned bark like the one yesterday. He was out for blood. =P I think I'm going to contact animal control. Apparently I'm not the only one who has had an incident with this dog and the owner. I told a couple guys at my LBS and they said they've had problems with the dog as well. I guess one of them whacked it with a tire pump and since then its had a personal vendetta against cyclists. Either way, its not safe and I'm letting animal control know.
