Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Stitched bar tape pointers?

Stella Azzurra Eleganza (white with black stitching) for a roadie.

Can anyone give me some pointers to make sure I keep it as neat and aligned as possible?

Just a suggestion, as I have never done stitched covers before, but you may want to repost this in the classic and vintage forum. Not to depose anyone in this forum that has done this particular project, but I think that you'll find more people that have done this in there. Sounds cool though!

they're easy, it adhesive so it won't move. Just make sure you have a quarter-width overlap.
