Finished my first Century! MS NYC Century Ride

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Finished my first Century! MS NYC Century Ride

I finished my first century ride yesterday at the NYC MS Century Ride! They had multiple paths for either 35, 55, 75, or 100 miles, and come the 75 mile rest stop I wasn't sure if I was going to make it. A bottle of water and a PBJ later, I decided that I had to finish what I started and made the loop through the Bronx and back to Central Park to finish the 100 miles.

My knee is killing me (old powerlifting injury that never completely seems to go away) my quads hate me, but I look at the map of the route and couldn't be happier I pushed through!

I had this ride in mind at the beginning of the summer when I decided to buy my first road bike. I was hit by a car a month ago, and didn't have the chance to properly train up for it, but it feels amazing to accomplish the goal I set none the less.

Was anyone else on the ride?
