ProBikeKit - any problems?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

ProBikeKit - any problems?

I've never ordered anything from PBK and they seem to have some great prices. I'm a little leery of ordering from a company in England. Anyone had problems with them?

Search is your friend. Some people have, but they seem to fix any problems reported to them. They did in my case.

Yeah, I did searches. Lots of the opinions were dated.

How long does delivery typically take?

Just be absolutely clear what you mean if you are ordering biscuits, chips, boots, etc.

They charge a flat shipping fee of 12 BRP, about $24. ?

My only problem with them is that they refuse to ship to me in Latvia. Some BS story about unreliable shipping. Seven years of regularly receiving packages and I've never lost one via the Latvian Post or the other shipper they use, Parcel Force. What BS from PBK!

Although they will ship to my US address if I use my Latvian Visa card!

FREE POSTAGE TO USA*
* Limited time only.
Some items may incur extra handling fees.

all of my items were shipped for free....the ultegra group however did have a $48 "extra" charge....still it was $510 total....a bargain by anyones standards.

Ms South Carolina, is that you?

It's in Europe, an EU country, located on the Baltic sea.

I've had no problems with PBK. They ship faster from England than many of the eBay sellers can do across North America. Really!

I did Google it. It came back and said "Latvia: not important enough to waste our time on" ;-)

They shipped my groupset for free. Took 3 days from order to arrival at the Vancouver airport (about 8000km) and 6 days from there to my house (about 45 km)

Can't blame ProBike Kit for the inefficiency of Canada Customs and Canada Post

I'm a satisfied PBK customer. The last couple of orders were a bit slow, but they were just extra tires & a cassette, so I don't care.

one thing about PBK, sometimes they don't ship the stuff in pretty packages. My tires often come wrapped in elastic bands instead of boxes, and my pedals came in clear plastic bags.

No complaints from me, but it's worth mentioning.

Your level of ignorance surprises me. Just when I thought you couldn't be any more ignorant you manage to lower the bar.

Bravo.

Maybe this is why they won't ship there.

Latvia is a country in eastern Europe.

Is America the only modernized country in the world that doesn't teach their children any language besides English nor anything about any other country besides America???

It's sad, I go overseas for work and there's a whole world out there that most people in the US will never know about.
