My new Lynskey Houseblend level 3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

1540 for frame fork and headset with the paint job. It was an absolute steal in my opinion. Lynskey has a new level 3 houseblend coming out that is tweaked in some manner so I was able to snatch this up on a ridiculous closeout. It was about half as much as the other frames I was looking at. It was brand new with full warranty

I don't want to be the one to tell you this, but your frame seems to be on fire. Oh wait a second.

Seriously - that is a great deal. You had better post some pix after it's together - or even better - when it's being built up! Nice.

You didn't happen to pick that up at George's in Boise did you?
They had one hanging on their wall that looked similar, when I went in there several weeks ago.

They had a closeout show frame on their site for about a month that I nearly snapped up. I'm jealous of whoever got it, and I'm jealous of you. Post build pics soon.

I'm probably going to just put my dura ace/Ultegra combo from my other bike on it. However, I may pick up a force kit to slap on it. The Sram Red is definitely out of my price range, but I really like the idea of trying out the force group. I had budgeted about 3 grand for my frameset, so spent less than I anticipated. My rationale is now I can blow that savings on a new group, and a set of wheels even though I originally said I would just swap my current components over.

I've seen this paint on the Parlee -looks amazing with all black parts.
$1540 for this is goofy cheap. Move before they find out they made a mistake.

I think flames are overdone but I'm sure that bike looks 3x better in person. I'd love one.

To be honest, I don't love painted Ti. I would have preferred a nice shiny plain finish with a few decals. The reason I was able to get the bike for that price is that they were trying to get rid of it as is. The paint job is gorgeous, I think it was done by Kenny Reynolds. The pictures don't do it justice. I'm curious how it rides. The chain stays aren't as beefy as a Merlin, but the down tube is huge. The top tube is ovalized but not that big in diamater. I contacted Lynskey and told them that I was looking for an all rounder that is focused a little more on racing. The suggested the level 3 houseblend. I was told it should be more than stiff enough for someone 190 lbs. We will see.

I'd like to see the flames painted on bare Ti instead of the black base.

+1 it's a bit to flaming for me with the black base. Bare ti would tone it down just enough. But either way it's a great frame so enjoy and ride the heck out of it...
