Not sure why, but if you click on the 08 Allez drop down on the left then the Tarmac option disappears and you can't get it back unless you use the link I posted. Either they're taking it down or they're updating it as we speak and are having difficulty with it.
Mavic CXP22 rim, alloy triple-wall, machined sidewalls w/ eyelets - These any good? I'll be using em for multipurpose road training out here in AZ.

man they're going "cannondale" with all their logos plastered everywhere on the bike long enough to hold a sticker with their name on it...

I like them, I'll be getting a Tarmac Pro, with Gods help. My LBS said they'd give me the frame and components etc. except the wheels for $2500. Seems like a good deal from a great shop.

I don't think the elite looks too bad; partly cause it's the one I'm getting. It does look better in person though. I think they already ditched one design though. I forget which model it was, but in my LBS's main 08 catalog they had an orange/blue frame combo that was just ugly. It looks like they already dropped that one.

The elite is going to weigh in around 19 lbs with pedals. Does that seem reasonable for a $1900 dollar carbon frame bike?

It looks like you guys in US now get and Ultegra Compact version and that they have dropped the FSA cranks on that version too...Actually my FSA cranks and BB have been doing good after 7000km's. Only now is there a slight click...Hopefully it stays like this for the next month or so and I'll do the BB with the winter tear down...

I'm drooling over the blue Sworks frame. If only they put the compact setup on that one. If only I had $5k.

So what happened to the tapered seat tube and the Zertz inserts in the seat stays that were on the 07 Tarmac? If they're such a good idea why are they gone?

Glad I got my Roubaix Pro in Gerolsteiner in 07. Not digging the new paint schemes. I'm sure they will grow on me though...

My thoughts were that is what was causing a clicking some people were experiencing on their bikes. Enough complaints and they probably just took it out and scrapped the design.

Really the only difference between 07 and 08 design is they're using white instead of black accents. If they had simple reversed the white sections to have black background with white lettering the bikes would look 10 times better, but then what would be the point of buying an 08 when the 07's are the same thing, but cheaper now?

Looks like they have LOTS of blue options this year, actually several blue/white combos but they are all different. I think the Tarmac Expert looks really good in blue/white, although to me it looks more like blue/red/white. Also nice to see that they added Rival to the Tarmac lineup and upped the carbon in the Expert to the 8R...

I hate to say it . . . but I don't see $8,500 in that bike. Or even $4,250. But they weren't counting on my purchase anyway.

These were only available on the lower models in 07. The Pro and up had already changed designs last year. With "trickle down technology" the whole line-up is without those now.
