litespeed tuscany
it looks like the frame has room for 30mm michelin jet cx tires. has anyone here who own(s/ed) that bike try larger tires on it?
what is a fair price for this bike (considering its apparently out of production now)?

I own a 2005 Litespeed Tuscany. I ride with 28C Conti Gatorskins and have no problems. Taking a quick look, I think that you have clearance for a larger tire at both the seat stay (brakes) and chain stay intersections. On my bike, I think the tightest area may be where the seat tube and tire meet (actually the derailleur hanger and tire).
Sorry I can't be of any further help. What year Tuscany are you looking at? The 2006 version has a different design, so my frame may be of no help. Also, you could post on roadbikereview on the Litespeed forum (https://forums.roadbikereview.com/forumdisplay.php?f=83) as there may be more LS specific traffic there.

Now, to the OP, what year is the frame and what component group and wheels does it have?

They are exact, other than the HUGE difference in the headset is not integratged on the 06. Man o man do I wish mine was a 06 not an 05. FLEX is the key word for that bike. All due to the headtube is too thin and flexes. Known defect and why they went to a different headtube and the non integrated.
I run 23s so sorry cant tell, I cant imagine a 30 fitting but never tried one.

For the front wheel it is going to depend on your fork. I tried to run 28 on a different bike and the tire hit the crown of the fork, when a 25 didn't.

i'm looking at an 06.
i've been going back and forth over what bike to get next. i've been looking at cx bikes, used bikes, custom builds, etc. basically, i want a road bike that i can ride on gravel roads (for extended periods)...but i want it to ride as close as possible to how my full cf roadie feels (eliminating road buzz, etc.)

I share your dilemma, I have enjoyed my roadie Tuscany greatly, but increasingly have been commuting to work and desiring to do some trail riding. If you are thinking TI and cyclocross, Litespeed is coming out with a 2008 cyclocross bike called the "CX" (See attachment)
There are also offerings from others, moots, if, seven, strong, etc that do TI and some smaller places too.

Well, the '06 is a great bike, but it's not going to ride like carbon. For one thing, you'll get a little bit of give and flex, but the tuscany is definitely an "all day ride" kind of bike.
My only complaint about how it came was with the real design wheels and fork. I replaced the wheels with ksyrium elites last winter and will be replacing the fork during off-season (probably going with some ec90 variant).
BTW, you might be able to get the frame on closeout from colorado cyclist.
