87cm Inseam with a 124.3 Torso + Arm length.
What size frame should i get. I am currently riding a 57 with a 56 c-c top tube. This is her.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...o/DSCF2200.jpg As you can see my seat post is pretty high. And i consider that i have a pretty aggressive drop going on. I have a short stem, 90. I'm not comfortable on the bike either. I've been fitted but it seems off. The shop i work at says i would ideally haev a 56 going by my inseam but my reach needs a 54. Will i have an unbearable drop on a 54? Anybody here more or less had this situation, which route did you go with...56 or 54. Are you happy with your decision. |

For example, I had a BMC Streetfire with an effective top-tube of 56.5cm, but the head-tube was relatively large: 175mm (integrated). The 56cm Cervelo Soloist has a 160mm head tube Try to figure out your prefered bar height, then workout how many spacers you could handle in there. Custom is another option, although more expensive |
As 531 mentioned...really depends on your riding preference in terms of drop you prefer. I couldn't tolerate that level of drop for more then 10 miles or so. Keep in mind, as you move your bars up with longer head tube...they come rearward with the angle of headtube which is splayed rearward. So decreasing drop will shorten the cockpit and make it more comfortable. Reach has two components...horizontal and vertical. I would never put you on a 54....would be way too much drop. 56 for racing and 58 for touring. Depends again on your riding preference. If your bike doesn't feel right...ride a larger bike with less drop. You may prefer it. I like about 1 inch or so. If I raced...would be 2-3" max. If you are 20 years old and race you can tolerate a big drop but most of us can't.
