Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rode a Demo Lemond Tete

While riding Cycle Oregon last week, I had a chance to ride the new 08 Sram set up on the Lemond Tete de Course Triomphe Ultimate. The SRAM set up was intuitive using only 1 lever for shifting both up and down the gear train. I've never ridden a carbon frame before, so I can't judge this frame against other carbon frames. The ride was plush and responsive. I have 2 ti road bikes, one Basso and a Litespeed Ghisalo. The Lemond geometry resembled the Basso, more traditional (not a compact frame).

Campy users will have no problem adjusting to SRAM. It may be a little more trouble for Shimano users, but maybe not. I'm not ready to switch to SRAM, but it was a good ride.
