Mercedes road bike

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't have anything to add in terms of a real suggestion; heck, I don't know what a Mercedes road bike is. Do you mean just any ol' top of the line road bike or is there an actual Mercedes brand for road bikes?

Quiet as it's kept, many people don't quite trust eBay. Although quite a few others quietly trust it and are just careful & astute about shopping on there.

Can you just buy a nice road bike for not-so-much and paint a Mercedes emblem on it? If it's steel, then maybe get one welded on it .. 'cos, you know, steel is real.

If you're entertaining (quietly) the thought of a Mercedes bike, just because it has that fancy 3 pointed star on it, you're more of a fashion victim than a fixie rider with spoke cards and top tube pad.

Why, pray tell, would one want such a thing? For $3k you can get a decent/good road bike without paying for the Mercedes name.

Well then I doubt these companies actually make anything on the bike. Like any smart company would do, they "partner" with a bike manufacturer i.e. just slap their (the car maker) emblem on it.

I suspect you can do the same yourself. It's like getting an aftermarket wheel package upgrade on a Mercedes (though I'm not sure why anyone would do that).

"The design concept emphasises the proud temperament of this thoroughbred racing machine."

"There’s also made-to-measure bike carrier systems for vehicle roof, tailgate and interior to suit the majority of Mercedes-Benz series of cars."

I'm certain that if Mercedes got 200 of it's employees to take a cr*p, and put Limited Edition Mercedes emblems on the piles they, could find morons to buy them.
