Computer with backlight?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Computer with backlight?

I'm looking for a very basic cycling computer. The problem is, I mostly ride at dawn when there isn't any light, so I need it to have a backlight. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Yeah, I've seen that one but I'm looking for other options. Any suggestions?

cat eye micro wireless, mine has a drop, and the wireless thingy on or fork is smaller than the one on the sigma (micro lol) also i think it looks better and has a better display, only thing is the backlight button is on the back so i didn't even relize i had it until like 2 days ago, i assume every fancier cat eye has the light too (doubt they ever loose features) i've also here the cat eyes are more durable than the sigmas

also vetta makes one and if you want somthin really fancy the torpedo thing is really cool, and i'm sure every company makes a comp with a back light

Blackburn Delphi 4.0 and higher all have backlights....I was going to put one on my new ride, but I had a Astrale 8 sitting in the box new and figured I'd just use that.

I use a headworn 3 LED lamp I got at REI (I've also got a Niterider Road Rat on the bars to see where I'm going) that not only illuminates the 'puter but comes in really handy for those pre-dawn repairs.

Wow, awesome!!! Do you know what kind of batteries it uses? Also, does it have like a 5-second timer or a contiously-on function? How long does the battery last?

Thanks!

Watch battery. It has a turning on / off switch that can be used with winter gloves, there is no timer. My battery lasted two seasons, but only 25% of my riding was in the dark.

Remember though that the OP is after a cheap, basic computer.

Why don't all computers come with a backlight feature?

- Kinda like when you rent a car, drive it around, then pull into the gas station, only to have to pull out again to go to a different pump because you did not know which side of the car the gas cap is on. You would think they would have told you "The gas cap is on the passenger side" or better yet, the manufacturer would put a small sign on the dash indicating the gas cap location, just like they put "Objects may be closer than they appear" on the the side view mirrors.

Just venting.
