Ever get weeks like this...?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ever get weeks like this...?

Ever get weeks that no matter how much stretching you do, how much water you pump into your system, no matter how well you eat or how much your rest... that your thighs are in absolute pain!
Aaarrrrrrggghh!!

I've considered that too. I ride 3 times a week to the office = 35 mile trip * 3.
Then i'll ride a 60 miler on the weekend.
Total = 165+/- per week. Sure doesn't seem to be too much.

Because too much potassium will kill you, supplements are restricted by law to be low doses (99 mg typically). You can get far more than that from a banana, OJ, molasses or dried apricots, but I guess in natural form it's harder to ingest too much. Molasses is my choice - a tablespoon gives you a ton of potassium.

Arnica gel; it helps - really.

Massage.

Give the riding a break for a couple of days, even if you think you feel like riding. Take a walk instead.

All better!
