Screwed by PBK?

I crashed my bike a month and a half ago, destroyed my front wheel.

I ordered a pair of Open Pros + Ultegra hubs from Performance Bike a few weeks ago. The front wheel came in around 8 days, but after 2.5 weeks I still hadn't gotten the rear. So I called to check a week ago and apparently they'd gone out of stock. OK, popular wheel, but I would've liked an email warning I'd have to wait.

I get back from work on Friday and there's the wheel box in my living room. I tore it open to find only a manual on HG sprocket installation. At this point I'm livid. I haven't had a good ride in weeks and they'd already kept me waiting once. I called up customer service ready to try and get some free cork tape at the least.

Friendly NC woman: "Oh no, that's not good at all"
Me: "Yeah... it's just an empty box."

House mate bursts into my room, "you should get off the phone, Mike has the wheel in his closet."

Explaining to customer service that you've just been had by a jackass roommate is underrated. The box was perfectly re-sealed. So I put a cinder block through his windshield.

Seriously though, any ideas on how to get him back?

Works for me.But you may want to put a piece of tape around it that say's just kidding so he knows it's just a joke.

What are some of his hobbies?

And by the way, which company did you actually order the wheels from? You posted PBK and then said it was Performance.

If he wants to mess around with your tire then get him, back with screwing with his tires or his car locks ... For his tires, if you have a valve stem remover remove the valve's stem but first apply a lot of super glue or epoxy around the threads of the stem .... place your finger tip over the stem to help keep the air from escaping , wear some rubber gloves , then place the tire cap back on... hold the cap in place with your finger until the glue dries... reapply some more glue around the edges of the caps. this should hold for a while until the ******* drives off some place ;) . You could also do this to his bike if her cycles.
If no valve stem then just use Epoxy or supper glue on his car door locks, Inject some in the locks if you do it right you can seal them shut .

Sorry, it was performance, not PBK.

His main hobby is drinking, with a little bit of sports watching thrown in on the side.

hahaha yea.
I know quite a few evil ways to get back at someone for stupid / cruel jokes . My friends growing up knew not to cross me. I couldn't say much for my brothers.:roflmao:

I did the above pay backs to two of my older brothers when both of them tried to pull a few fast ones on me. ;) .When you do the tire cap thing you have to do it to one of the front wheels and then one of the rear wheels. Each were on the opposite sides , left front + right rear.

With fall coming, wait till there are leaves on the ground ( hope you have leaves that fall in your area ) & jack his car up. Put it on blocks so the wheels are JUST off the ground, & make sure the leaves are all around hiding the space between the tires & ground. & wait for him to go somewhere! I have always wanted to do this, just never had the opportunity.

Good luck, & keep us posted!

I recall a story not too long ago about a guy who was mad enough at his roommate to clean the toilet with his toothbrush! Not that I advocate doing so. It just came to mind.

I thought about that about 15 years ago.I never did it, but I never left my tooth brush in the bathroom after that.

If he has a car, I'm told that jolly ranchers placed on a windshield in the sun are near impossible to remove.

Or frying an egg on a window in the sun.

Before doing this, take care to heat and draw the ranchers into the shape of a phallus for dramatic effect.
