titanium frame + carbon fork = $300 ?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Moreover, its about a pound heavier than a high end Ti frame, and heavier than a number of steel, and Al frames.

Just because its Ti doesn't make it good.

1425gms for a frame may not be particularly light but isn't especially heavy either. Its not a climbing bike, its a TT/tri frame. You'd have to scoure the Earth to find a steel frame lighter than that, its longevity wouldnt be great and you'd pay damn sight more than $300 for it.

This ti frame with 650 wheels is a bargain IMO. I wouldn't reckon the 1" fork is an issue, you can still get them and 1" headsets, and you can use a 1 1/8 stem on it with a shim.

If I was an elbow steerer looking for a cheap frame I'd jump on it.

Mongoose made Ti frames a while back. A heap have cropped up unlabelled on Ebay.

Cheap Ti is never a good idea.
