Fantastic Photos: my 86 Serotta and 80 Gazelle (56k warning)
Back in August I helped BF's member Stray Cat rebuild his Scott CR1 with a new SRAM Force group, in exchange he promised to do a photo shoot of my Serotta (and I snuck the Gazelle into the deal) to try to do justice to the paint job I had just had done. I just had to share a few of the photos with you all, this is pre-photoshop color/brightness adjustment, straight off the camera and scaled down for web viewing.
First, the Gazelle:

I tried to think of something witty, and failed, so I will just say beautiful.
I normally don't like red bikes, but that job on the serotta... wow.

Need to redo the Serotta outside with better light. Looks good otherwise.

Very nice! It's amazing what a bit of nice light and a large aperture can do. =]

I love the head on shot of the Serotta heatube, the
parallel cables offset the headtube perfectly. Art Gallery
quality stuff here.

Hopefully some time next week we'll get a chance to get some photos with more light. A couple of the close ups of the Serotta indoors is probably the best representation of the color (in the light) as I've seen in a photo yet. And the outdoors photos really show how deep and dark the color can be out of the sun.

Zack -- did you use studio lighting for the indoor shots or was it just a bounce flash?

both great looking rides, but I really like the Gazelle , retro, clean and great looking graphics, and old campy 78-79 o 80ish I believe.
Looks like the same campy record components that I have packed away in a box.

The Campagnolo Super Record group on the Gazelle is an 86 model year, though the S.Record group was produce from the mid-late 80's up through around 87 or 88 I believe. The S.Record came to me on the Serotta, but after the paint job on that bike I knew the 10sp Campy was going to look better on it than on the Gazelle. So the switch was done and I couldn't be happier.
