Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

LeMond Wayzata

Does anyone know anything about this bike ? Particularly the sizing? I found one in my area for sale and I'm seriously considering buying it if it fits. I have to travel some distance to get there. The bike has a 59cm frame. All of my 'vintage' road bikes have 59/60cm frames. However, I was told this bike has a higher bottom bracket and rides a little bigger. What can you tell me about this bike? I'm 6' and wear about a 32/33 inseam. Think it would be too big? I realize that's a rather subjective question. Just wondering if anyone else out there has one and this size? Thanks in advance.

I don't have any tech info on this model LeMond except it was named after the Twin Cities suburb Greg grew up in while living in Minnesota.

Actually, Wayzata is a Twin Cities suburb that Lemond lived in for a time. I believe that he grew up in California, and now lives in Medina, MN, which is too far out of the Twin Cities to be a suburb.

I was born in Wayzata, on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. However, we moved when I was just 3. Does that count for anything?

Been there, not a whole lot there, would rather ride the Lemond Minnetonka.

What a dimb@$$ name for a bike.
