Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Define "Bike Weenie"**********??

I would start with the following:

Bike Weenie (n): A cyclist who uses the term "Bike Weenie" in discussion or in forum posts (excluding myself or others who make fun of those who use it)

Seriously, it makes me cringe when I see it on this forum.

I think it is probably one of the most appropriate and well thought out monikers in the cycling community.

If you have ever posted a "which should I buy" or "finally pulled the trigger" type of thread you are a bike weenie (myself included).

I actually picture an Oscar Meyer Weiner on a bike, smiling and waving with a bony arm and an oversized hand.

Come to think of it, this Pcad farker has inserted other bizarre images in my brain that I can't get rid of when I'm riding. Last week while riding a recumbent on the MUP (swear to God I was, although I wore a perfectly all-black kit with white helmet and New Balance shades, just to dash any thought that I was a bike weenie, but decidedly OCP), and while I was doing so, I kept musing about my Pcadness...

Swear to God...musing about my Pcadness...!!!!

Can I even posess Pcadness if I am not even Pcad...?

Dunno, but think about it... recumbent, MUP, bike weenie, Pcadness....jeeez I think I need therapy...

Last Sunday, I passed two roadies as they dismounted and walked their bikes over a short gravel and dirt portion of the road (road construction)...I'm pretty sure they were bike weenies.

The Diabolical Cult of Pcad snares another sucker.

Now if I could only get my 9th Grade daughter to listen to me I'd have something.

it's a bike...any stretch of Paris Roubaix is rougher than road construction...if bikes can take that they can take some road construction....
