Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone contacted Bebop?

Sorry this had to be brought up here, but it's one of the last options I have.

About 2 months ago I bought a new pair of Bebop standard pedals off ebay. Right out of the box the left cleat refused to clip in, and there were nonfunctional but disconcerting finish problems as well.

After 11 calls, 4 messages, 5 e-mails, and 1 nasty crash due to said pedals, I've realized that Bebop will NEVER get back to me through these routes. Ergo, does anyone have any contacts there, or have a success story as to how you contacted them? Thanks for anything you guys can do.

Bebops are produced under license by VP Components. https://www.vpcomponents.com/ and distributed in the US by Seattle Bicycle Supply.

Try giving them a call

The Bebop web site that comes up when you do a google is from the old ownership. I tried contacting them numerous times about replacement cleats. I could find no retailer and CBO told me they could not get them. Anyway no response. Somehow I came across a consultant that worked for them and he put me on to the new owners, vp as posted above.

I have Bebops on 5 bikes and have none of the problems you state. Replacement cleats also are back in the market. Love these pedals. Knee pain is gone.
