Opinions on parts
Can I get some feedback on these parts I'm thinking of using for a build? Please suggest an alternative for each at the same price point if possible.
Bottom Bracket: FSA Mega Exo
Brake Calipers: Cane Creek SCR5
Crank: FSA Gossamer Mega Exo
Headset: FSA Integrated
Stem: Rav-X Axilite
Seatpost: Ritchey Pro
Group will be Ultegra. All this will hopefully be going on a Ridley Excalibur. These parts were suggested by the LBS to keep the bike at a particular price point.
Do build kits come with everything needed including cranks and BB or are those separate?
Thanks.

Crank: FSA Gossamer Mega Exo - weighs way to much to put on that bike. You can get a lot better stuff on closeout this time of year.
Stem: Rav-X Axilite - never heard of it...
Bottom Bracket: FSA Mega Exo STAY AWAY from this piece of crap and get the dura ace.
Kits are usually, crank, bb, brakes, shifters, derailleurs f&r, cables.

I would buy a Ultegra crankset before I buy a FSA Gossamer; it might be a little heavier but it will be 10x more reliable. If money is a concern, get a used Dura Ace crankset; it would still be better.
The brakes sound good, but I would go with a Ritchey stem to match the seatpost.
Just my 2 cents, good luck.

I have a gossamer crankset on my older bike and I can't really tell the difference- Until I take it off the bike for cleaning- It is heavy up against the Truvatif Elite I have on the newer bike.
Actual riding- I can't tell the difference. Weight wise- Different matter. Cost? Compared to a Good shimano unit- These are cheap in the UK. Length of life- No idea except the FSA bottom bracket needs replacing after 2,000 miles.
If price is a matter of concern- then these are good but I would feel better with a quality unit fitted.
