Two great things about crashing in the fall
1. Wearing tights, gloves, wool socks and a long-sleeved jersey limited the road rash to a small patch on my chin and a little crescent on my (still very painful) shoulder
2. Just think how much worse a spring crash would have been. At least this way I won't miss a huge chunk of prime biking season.

I got a bone bruise on my hip and road rash on my elbow from falling earlier in the week.. I can't walk so I waddle like a penguin, but I seem to be good for riding
