Garmin Edge 605 and 705 Delayed until 2008

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Garmin Edge 605 and 705 Delayed until 2008

It looks like Garmin will unfortunately delay the release of the Edge 605 and 705 GPS products.

Here is a hands-on preview of the GPS unit.

Pity that it won't be out in time for Santa to bring me one!

Wow, a color screen. How frivolous.

I will definitely get one. I love my 305.

Since it will be delayed for Christmas, maybe Santa can bring me a PowerTap in the meantime.

I was just wondering how long the rebate was going 'til and if it might be extended based on this information. Of course, for me, since it is winter, I can wait...

I was told of the delay two weeks ago so I bought a 305 instead. The 705 maps feature dosent interest me anyways.
