Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Office overlooking a bike path = the suck

So, I have a 5th floor office that overlooks a MUP that pretty much is only used by road bikers (VERYfew walkers to ever deal with). I have to sit here all day and watch bikers cruise past while I'm stuck behind this computer. And to top it off, the weather is sunny in the mid 60's right now, going to be in the 70's later, so its basically perfect weather. I also am stuck in a meeting at lunch and have a teleconference that will last till 6 this evening

On the other hand, it is a major motivator because I see everyone else out there and it makes me want to get out there so much more right after my normal days (getting off at 4 most days).

I'm in the same boat. Even though I ride to and from work, I still have to watch all them people, who for some reason don't have to work, out there riding and having fun. This is why on my commute home I chase them down and drope them like bad habits, leaving them drooling in envy of my massive guads. If I happen to be driving that day, I content myself with hollering 'YOU AIN'T A CAR, YA KNOW!' while buzzing them so close that I leave streaks on their shorts from the 10 years of dirt accumulated on my truck.

I have a window seat also, but no bike path. I would certainly go postal if there was a parade of cyclists out my window all day.

Actually those are just the people that have to work weekends out being visible to those of you that don't, so you'll sit and wonder why these people don't have to work for a living...

I know because I used to be one of them. I did as much leisure stuff during the week as I could just to run it in.
